Hello everyone!
Since 2022, I’ve been offering free online and in-person painting classes every year during my birth month. Along the way, I’ve also written about these experiences—feel free to check out the articles below to see some of the past classes I’ve conducted as part of this tradition!
This year, I’m continuing the tradition—but with a twist! Instead of paintbrushes and canvases, we’ll be creating something we can wear: fashion accessories!
I first started making jewelry with beads when I was pregnant with my eldest son. At the time, I was living alone for most of the week, and after work, I had little to do and no one to talk to. Boredom and loneliness led me to seek out a creative hobby, and beading became my outlet. I taught myself by reading books on handmade jewelry and watching YouTube tutorials. Through practice, I perfected my loops and chains and eventually started wearing my own pieces. My officemates took notice, and before I knew it, they were buying my designs—kickstarting a small handmade jewelry business.
I kept creating until I eventually had to close my Shopee store, overwhelmed by the demands of work and motherhood. Then, when the pandemic hit, I found comfort in watercolor painting, which became my creative refuge during those chaotic times.
Now, after a long hiatus, I’ve decided to return to jewelry-making—not just for the joy of crafting, but also for a special reason. My son’s piano teacher recently recommended upgrading his instrument to one with weighted keys, as he’s been playing more classical pieces. Since quality pianos aren’t cheap, I saw an opportunity to revive my handmade jewelry business as a way to save up for it.
Next month, in April, as part of my birth month celebration, I’ll be hosting a series of classes where I’ll teach participants how to create simple drop earrings, a charm bracelet, a necklace, and a bag charm using beads and repurposed jewelry pieces you may already have at home.
Since this workshop requires specific tools and findings, I’m sharing this form early (scan the QR code in the photos below) so participants have enough time to gather their materials.
✨ Here are the event posters for each class:

I’ve also posted about this series of classes on my Instagram page:
Here are the tentative Schedule (via Zoom):
Class 1: Let’s Make Earrings – April 6, 2025, 2 PM
Class 2: Let’s Make a Bracelet – April 13, 2025, 2 PM
Class 3: Let’s Make a Necklace – April 20, 2025, 2 PM
Class 4: Let’s Make a Bag Charm – April 27, 2025, 2 PM
II’ll send the list of materials and the Zoom meeting link via email. If you’re unsure where to find the materials, I’ll also provide a list of physical and online stores for those in the Philippines.
Please note that the schedule follows Philippine Standard Time (PST). If you’re joining from outside the Philippines, you’re still welcome to sign up—you’ll just need to source the tools and materials locally.
I’m excited to dive back into this craft, and even more thrilled to share it with you all! Let’s create something beautiful together. 💖
Cheers,
Grass
